Mythology and the Sky
Uranus
Horoscopes
Horoscopes have been used for hundreds of years to predict outcomes of wars, econoic trends, personal actions, and many other things, but how did it start? Some think that farmers started the idea of horoscopes. Farmers in climates that didn’t change dramatically used the stars position to know when to plant their crops. It is believed that they made up stories about the different constellations so that they would be able to remember them better.

It is said that the blood that fell from Uranus after he was cut went into the ocean and created Aphrodite, which means foam born in Greek. Aphrodite was also known as Venus, another planet in our solar system.
Uranus is known as the sky god or the ruler of the heavens. He was created by Geae alone. On the day he was born, he was said to have popped out of the earth, which Gaea symblizes. Gaea and Uranus got married and had many children including Cyclopses, the Titans, and the Giants. Uraus was the first ruler of all the gods. He was worried that his children were getting to be more powerful than he so he hid them away in Gaea. This caused her much pain and she begged Cronus to cease the fertility of Uranus to end the produion of more unwanted children. One night, after his mother's request, cronus casrated his father and ended his rule. This is how the earth and sky were seperated.. Cronus was then became the ruler of all gods.
How does it work? Marc Edmund Jones came up with the concept of horoscope patterns to determine how the future will play out. The exact location of the stars and relative location all give hints to the future. People hire astrologists to read the stars to translate the future.
Is it just a myth or do the stars predict your future????
Your horoscope is determined by the day of the year you were born on.
